Lu, a part-time family doctor, collaborated with local filmmaker Jonas Salzberg to write, produce, and direct the short film Baby Donut, which will be featured in the program. It's a coming-of-age story that explores the classic struggle of how to find one's identity.

The Filmmakers Showcase, short films that explore the Asian-Canadian experience, will be broadcast on Cable 119 on Sunday, May 9, at 9 p.m. and midnight, and on Cable 4 on Sunday, May 23 at 9 p.m.
